Thank you, this is some wonderful writing. However, from one father to another, perhaps a day meant to encourage and honor fathers is not the best occasion to emphasize fathers' failings and sins.

Eohn, I appreciate you taking the time to read.

The reality is, Father’s Day isn’t a soft reflection for a lot of men. For guys like me, it’s a silent confrontation so yes this is exactly the right day.

I’m not dishonoring fathers. I’m speaking to the ones who grieve on this day—who want to end the cycle of silence, wounds, and generational sin most men are too afraid to name.

This is formation. This is training.

Formation begins when a man is willing to burn what broke him so his children don’t inherit it.

If that didn’t land, that’s fine. It just means this wasn’t written for you.
